ACADEMIC PROGRAMS We offer a well structured, age appropriate curriculum. It starts off in the Sweet Pea Rooms (6 weeks - 30 months) where we begin the day with a Circle Time; consisting of singing songs and clapping hands. Each hour, we introduce an activity such as books, ring and block stacking, music and baby games. At 18 months - 30 months we continue the classroom concept; but introduce letters and numbers, more advanced artwork, learning the use of scissors, as well as teaching table manners and the development of peer friendships.
Our Petunias and Tiger Lilies(30 months and older) work with hands on math manipulatives, pre-writing and writing skills, letters and numbers, shapes and colors. And after letter / sound recognition, we offer a Reading Program. Our program incorporates various learning experiences into a fun-filled day. Your child is encouraged to choose some self directed activities, along with our structured activities directed by our teachers. Each room has its own schedule of daily activities based on our weekly themes. You will receive a monthly calendar and a monthly newsletter so that we may do our best to keep you involved in your child's day. Each child's educational progress and needs are assessed, in order for us to develop an individual plan for him/her. We are most proud of our teaching staff. They are a dedicated group who will supervise and teach your child through patience, energy, and most of all, love and understanding. |
